Abstract of Position:

The Rheumatology Quality and Informatics Lab (quil.ucsf.edu) is looking for a Research Data Analyst. Our research team conducts observational studies using electronic health record data and national patient registry data. The Research Data Analyst will closely work with the Principal Investigator (PI) and other project staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to efficiently and effectively work with statisticians, co-investigators, research staff, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.

Responsibilities:

The Research Data Analyst will use knowledge of various study designs and database management to ensure data quality (assessing data completeness, reliability and validity of study variables, and identifying and addressing missing data), prepare data for analysis, conduct statistical analyses and independently plan limited studies. They will also assist higher level Analysts in executing large, complex studies. The Research Data Analyst will assist in the preparation of tables, figures, and manuscripts for publication.

Pay Rate / Salary:

Within the UCSF range for the Research Data Analyst 2 position.

Expertise:

Advanced skills and demonstrated experience performing statistical analysis, such as regression modeling. Proven skills and experience in data cleaning and management. Excellent skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner verbally, visually, and in writing.
